RHEOLATE CVS® -16 by Elementis is 15% active solids, low to mid shear, non-ionic synthetic associative thickener (NiSAT) and color viscosity stabilizer for aqueous applications. It minimizes KU viscosity drop (by up to 45%) in tinted coatings, ensuring excellent color acceptance and consistent application properties with no negative impact on leveling for low- and zero-VOC paints. It is an environmentally friendly, APEO-, VOC- and tin-free product available as a pourable and pumpable liquid .
  • It offers viscosity retention in paint formulations during point-of-sale and in-plant tinting, while enhancing color performance such as improved color float resistance and superior color rub-up performance.
  • It provides good storage stability and excellent balance of sag resistance, flow and leveling, ensuring excellent application properties when applied with brush, roller, or spray.
  • RHEOLATE CVS® -16 is suitable for architectural- and decorative coatings, interior- and exterior wall paints, tintometric water base formulations and ultra-low VOC paints.
  • It shows excellent compatibility with most water-based resin systems, associative rheological additives, NiSAT, clay-based thickeners, or cellulosic thickeners for desired rheology.
  • It is designed to work with all binder system in all PVC latitude formulations.
  • The recommended dosage level is 0.5-3% as form of delivery on total system.
  • It has a shelf life of 24 months.
