RHEOLATE® CVS-15 by Elementis is an APEO-, VOC- and tin-free, non-ionic synthetic associative thickener (NiSAT) for aqueous applications. It is a high efficiency, low-shear (KU) builder for low and zero VOC paints. It offers good storage stability and viscosity retention upon point-of-sale or in-plant color tinting. It is a pourable, pumpable and easy to use liquid.
- It provides excellent color properties such as improved color float resistance and color rub up performance.
- It exhibits an excellent balance of sag and leveling, with minimum contribution to high-shear (ICI) viscosity.
- It shows compatibility with all resin systems, especially with latex resins.
- RHEOLATE® CVS-15 is suitable for water-based systems including decorative paints, inks, textile- and industrial coatings.
- It imparts excellent application properties when applied with brush, roller or spray.
- The recommended dosage level is 0.2-1.0% (thickener solids weight) on total system weight.
- It has a shelf life of 2 years.
