RHEOLATE® 290

RHEOLATE® 290 by Elementis is a high-performance NiSAT rheology modifier. It is a 20% active polyether polyurethane associative thickener designed for waterborne industrial and decorative coatings, delivering strong low-shear thickening efficiency, excellent sag resistance, and robust co-solvent tolerance. It improves flow, leveling, and optical properties of coating films while providing excellent sag resistance and anti-settling performance.

• It maintains stable thickening performance in high co-solvent formulations, eliminating viscosity drift.
• It delivers strong low-shear viscosity efficiency, ensuring optimal sag control, film build, and batch-to-batch reproducibility.
• Based on advanced NiSAT technology, it enables solvent-borne performance in sustainable waterborne systems.
• It imparts a shear-thinning flow behavior, making it ideal for spray applications such as latex emulsions, dispersions, water-reducible clear coats, and high-gloss pigmented systems.

• Direct-add capability ensures simplified incorporation, making it suitable for next-generation industrial and architectural coatings.
• Recommended usage is 0.1 and 1.5% by weight of the total formulation.
