RHEOLATE® 266 by Elementis is a polyether urea polyurethane-based associative thickener for waterborne systems such as dispersions and latexes. It offers highly efficient thickening at low- to medium-shear rates and shear-thinning viscosity. It is particularly suitable for coatings applied to pH-sensitive substrates such as wood veneers. It is a cost-effective, easy to incorporate, non-spattering, non-misting and pH independent grade.
  • It offers good flow, leveling & sag resistance and does not impair gloss.
  • It is an effective alternative to alkali swellable acrylics.
  • It exhibits excellent high-shear application performances i.e. brush and roller.
  • It is suitable for spray-applied or doctor-blade-applied systems such as furniture and wood lacquers, maintenance paints, industrial OEM topcoats and primer paints.
  • RHEOLATE® 266 is also used in metal decorative finishes, vehicle component lacquer, wood care products, decorative coatings (high PVC matt, contractor matt and semi-gloss) and refractory coatings.
  • The recommended dosage level is 0.2-6.0% by weight of the formulation.
  • It has a shelf life of 2 years.
