RHEOLATE® 208 by Elementis is 100% solids, polyether urea polyurethane-based associative rheology modifier. It is designed for use in paints containing small-particle size latex emulsions and in high-volume solids system. It offers great manufacturing flexibility, very good high shear viscosity, enzyme resistance and very good brush drag.
  • It reduces formulation interaction, influence on color acceptance & color stability and spattering during roller application.
  • Provides a balanced rheological profile contribution to low-, mid- and high shear range.
  • It is non-freezing, contains no coalescing solvent and enhances film build.
  • It imparts very good flow and leveling, pH independent rheology.
  • It allows broad formulating flexibility and gives an alkyd-like appearance in waterborne gloss paints.
  • It shows good compatibility with Bentone® EW, Bentone® LT and other rheological additives & thickeners.
  • RHEOLATE® 208 is used for high & semi-gloss latex paints for interior and exterior applications based on pure acrylic or copolymer binders and waterborne alkyd paints and inks.
  • It is also suitable for anti-asthma and anti-allergy paints.
  • Recommended for high quality, low VOC latex paints for all sheen levels and textile coating applications.
  • It is APEO-, VOC-, tin- and biocide free.
  • The recommended use level is 0.1-0.6% on the total paint weight.
  • It has a shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture.
  • Complies with ISO 9001 certification.
