NUACT NOPB

NUACT NOPB by Elementis is a lead- and barium-free loss-of-dry inhibitor for oxidatively drying paints. Stabilizes the drying properties during storage. Paints based on carbon blacks, organic pigments and similar pigments, having large surface areas may loose the initial drying properties because of physical and chemical adsorption reactions between the drier and the pigment surface. NUACT NOPB strongly adsorbs on reactive pigments, prevents adsorption of cobalt drier, improves paint quality and consistency. May be added before the grinding process or during the let-down of paint manufacture. Supplied as a low viscous liquid, can be added easily. Recommended usage level: 1.25-2.5% (for air-drying paints), calculated on total resin solids.
