DeuAdd DVP by Elementis acts as a viscosity stabilizer. It is an additive for stabilizing viscosity of air-drying and baking paints. It is also used to recover gelled paint to applicable viscosity. Viscosity instability is frequently encountered when formulating paints which contain acidic vehicle and basic pigment.
