Bentone® CT by Elementis is a cost-effective thixotropic additive designed for use in water-borne systems. It is untreated natural hectorite clay. It provides stable shear-thinning viscosity and texture build over a wide temperature range. It improves slump or sag resistance.
- It also acts as suspending agent, preventing hard settlement.
- It possesses fast water release and does not retard drying.
- It exhibits enzyme resistance.
- It is used for low cost emulsion paints.
- Recommended dosage level is 0.5-0.3%.
- Bentone® CT has a shelf life of 4 years.
