Bengel® 958 by Elementis is an easy dispersible rheological additive for low to medium polarity binders and solvents. It is cost-effective organic derivative of a bentonite clay. It is easy to incorporate, even at less than optimum dispersion conditions.
- It provides great flexibility in manufacturing procedures and consistent development of rheological properties.
- It eliminates the need for pregels and polar activator.
- It also provides good thixothropy, sag resistance, and anti settling and pigment suspension properties.
- It is recommended to be used in systems like air dry long oil alkyd enamels, general industrial maintenances and printing inks.
- Recommended dosage is 0.2-1.5% by weight of the system.
- Bengel® 958 has a shelf life of 4 years.
