Eastman Tetrashield™ AC1001

Eastman Tetrashield™ AC1001 by Eastman is a durable polyester resin system designed for automotive OEM clearcoats and pigmented topcoats. Imparts enhanced long term weathering performance, extended durability due to increased hydrolytic stability, improved- chemical-, stain resistance and toughness due to higher Tg, reduced VOC and enhanced productivity due to higher solids at low viscosity. It enhances coating performance, reduces environmental impact and optimizes the coating process. It offers distinct advantages in white and high-chroma monocoat applications, one-component clearcoats, and two-component clearcoats. Monocoats developed from Eastman Tetrashield™ AC1001 demonstrate improved scratch resistance, better weathering and higher solids without compromising other critical properties such as impact resistance, hardness, appearance and adhesion. They also exhibit the ability to reduce pigment bleeding and improve mar resistance.
