PRIMAL™ HG-415 by Dow Chemicals is an acrylic binder for gloss paints used in interior and exterior applications. It is APEO-free with good applicability, flow and leveling (and improved open time), gloss potential, hardness development and block resistance, exterior durability, alkyd adhesion, stain and grease resistance. It uses ambient temperature cross-linking to offer improved film performance versus conventional polymers. Gloss paints formulated with PRIMAL™ HG-415 will oxidatively cure during and after the latex particles have coalesced to form a film with improved toughness and resistance properties. The binder develops good early film properties which improve during the curing process.
