Acetone by Dow is a 2-Propane, Dimethyl Ketone. It acts as a very effective, low boiling, fast evaporating, colorless stable solvent for surface coatings applications. It possesses very good solvency power for most natural and synthetic resins (acrylics, vinyl, nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate). Acetone is used for applications like printing inks, surface coatings. It can be used as a good solvent for most waxes, oils, fats, greases and dye materials.
