Luna-PTSI P distributed by DKSH is a low viscosity reactive additive used for the formulation of polyurethane products. It prevents moisture related problems by reacting with trace moisture. Excess water reacts with Luna PTSI-P towards the corresponding carbamic acid, which undergoes immediate decomposition to form carbon dioxide and the relatively inert p-toluenesulfonamide, which is commonly used as a plasticizer.
  • It prevents thickening of polyurethane coatings during storage.
  • It does not dimerize or trimerize as alkyl and aryl isocyanates do.
  • When stored, purified diisocyanates tend to deteriorate and discolor.
  • In this case, Luna-PTSI P can be used for stabilization to improve shelf life.
  • It has a shelf life of 18 months.
  • This product is available in Europe, Asia and North America.
