Kronos® 2044 distributed by DKSH is a titanium dioxide pigment with intensive inorganic surface treatment for highly filled systems. It provides higher hiding and brightening power in systems with high pigment volume concentration compared to standard rutile pigments.
- It imparts a neutral tone and high whiteness, and improves whiteness and opacity in coated papers.
- It is easy to disperse, and enhances weather resistance, while requiring higher amounts of water and wetting agents during emulsion paint production.
- It is used in emulsion paints, coatings for coated paper, matte flexographic inks, and printing inks for wallpaper.
- It is a rutile pigment produced by the sulphate process with surface treatment using aluminum and silicon compounds.
- It is available in APAC region (Spain, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Philippines, Portugal, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan).
