AHA631 distributed by DKSH is 2-phenyl imidazoline-based epoxy hardener or accelerator. It is used in powder coatings. It is fully cross-linkage at low or high curing temperatures. As a modifier of surface gloss, the gloss levels of coating can be adjusted by replacing parts of matting agent such as AHA68 in powder coating.
- In order to reduce curing temperatures or shorten curing times, it can be incorporated into epoxy powder coatings by replacing parts of dicyandiamide or substituted dicyandiamide.
- Recommended usage level is 6-7 parts by 100 weight parts of epoxy resin (E.E.W 700-900) and for accelerator 0.2-1.0 parts by 100 weight parts of binder.
- It has a shelf life of 1 year.
