Span™ 40 by Croda acts as a non-ionic surfactant, W/O emulsifier and O/W co-emulsifier. It also functions as wetting agent, pigment dispersant (inks and oils) and carrier liquid. Designed for decorative coatings and paints. It is a fatty acid ester produced from sorbitol and C16 fatty acid. Offers good environmental & health profile, highly efficient emulsification and allows high loading of pigments/ fillers. Suitable for acrylic/ vinylic/ UV, epoxy, natural oils, waxes, esters, polyesters and polyurethane. Span™ 40 complies with REACH as well as food contact approvals EU 10/2011 and FDA (175.105).
