DISPERBYK® -2200

DISPERBYK® -2200 by BYK is a high molecular weight, copolymer with pigment affinic groups. It acts as a wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-borne and solvent-free liquid coatings, powder coatings, printing inks and inkjet inks to stabilize phthalocyanine pigments and carbon blacks. It minimizes thixotropy whilst generating Newtonian flow behavior, improves both color strength and transparency and increases gloss whilst minimizing haze. It enables an increase in the pigment content of organic pigments in pigment concentrates. It creates a considerably greater level of jetness when carbon blacks stabilized. DISPERBYK® -2200 is suitable for use in automotive-, wood and furniture- and industrial coatings. Recommended dosage is 15-30% (organic pigments), 35-70% (carbon blacks) and 2-7% (inorganic pigments) of additive based upon total formulation. It has a shelf life of 36 months.
