DISPERBYK® -163 TF by BYK is a tin-free, wetting and dispersing additive. It is a solution of a high molecular weight block copolymer with pigment-affinic groups. It deflocculates and stabilizes pigments thus prevents flooding and floating in pigment blends. It provides increased gloss, color strength, transparency or hiding power, and reduced viscosity. It exhibits broad compatibility for pigment concentrates based on aldehyde and acrylate grinding resins. DISPERBYK® -163 TF is suitable for solvent-based coatings and pigment concentrates. Its recommended dosage level for inorganic pigment is 15-20%, titanium dioxide is 4-5%, organic pigment is 30-60% and carbon black is 80-100%. It has a shelf life of 36 months.
