DISPERBYK® -145 by BYK is phosphoric acid ester salt of a high molecular weight copolymer with pigment affinic groups. Acts as a wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-free and solvent-borne systems. Deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization of the pigments.
  • It affects the coating adhesion to steel substrates in baking enamel systems.
  • It offers improved color strength and high gloss.
  • It increases transparency and hiding power of the pigments.
  • It reduces viscosity and provides improved levelling and higher pigment loading.
  • DISPERBYK® -145 is particularly recommended for non-polar systems (alkyd and acrylate resins, TPA and epoxy resins).
  • Recommended levels is 5-10% for inorganic pigments, 1-3% for titanium dioxide, 10-25% for organic pigment and 15-35% for carbon black.
  • It has a shelf life of 36 months.
