DISPERBYK® -106

DISPERBYK® -106 by BYK is a wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-borne and solvent-free systems. It is alkyl ammonium salt of a polymeric phosphoric acid ester. Deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization of the pigments. It offers improved gloss, color strength, and levelling. It reduces viscosity. Increases hiding power and transparency. It can be universally used with binders of differing polarities such as aromatic-free alkyd resins and aldehyde resins. It is used for architectural coatings, industrial coatings, wood and furniture coatings and as well as to stabilize pigment pastes. Its recommendation dosage is 5-15 % for inorganic pigments, 10-30 % for organic pigments and 10-20 % for transparent iron oxide pigment. The shelf life of DISPERBYK® -106 is 36 months.
