Exilva F 01-V is a 100% natural, pseudoplastic, bio-based, multifunctional microfibrillated cellulose by Borregaard. It is a non-toxic, anti-blocking, odorless, pre-activated, highly entangled fibril aggregate with improved spraying and zero VOC. It is available as a 2% suspension or a 10% paste. Improves rheology and stability of water-based, smooth surface flat paints, high quality architectural and industrial paints and coatings. It increases formulation efficiency and reduces carbon dioxide footprint. Exilva F 01-V offers improved syneresis and dispersion and anti-settling of particles. Shows good compatibility with polar solvents, surfactants and salts. Exhibits high aspect ratio, large surface area, high crystallinity, shear thinning and high viscosity at rest. It also reduces mud-cracking during drying of acrylic pigmented systems and in paints having a high application film-build. Offers sag/ drip control, improved workability, structuring and enhanced properties of cured formulations. It forms a non-soluble fiber network with high yield stress and polymer-like properties. Provides improved durability, good water resistance, longer open time, increased film strength, better adhesion, oxygen barrier and reinforcing effect. Prevents the viscosity loss after tinting and reduces the color float of the coating. Shelf life of Exilva F 01-V is 1 year with usage level of 3-5 %w/w.
