Ascinin® Anti Skin 0445 by Borchers (Milliken) is a phenol- and MEKO-free anti-skinning agent for oxidatively cured coating systems. It improves the storage stability. It controls surface dry retardation and keeps the film open longer to ensure deeper penetration of oxygen to lower film layers, which promotes through dry and improves flow properties.
- It is recommended to be used with Borchi® OXY-Coat cobalt replacement additives in water- and solvent-based systems.
- Ascinin® Anti Skin 0445 eliminates excessive dry time retardation with phenolics or the toxicity of oximic compounds.
- It is used in printing inks, pigment pastes, polar formulations and clear or pigmented systems.
- The recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.6% by weight on total formulation.
