Stearyl Acrylate 18 (SA 18) by BASF is an acrylate monomer. It forms homopolymers and copolymers. Used as feedstock for chemical syntheses because it readily undergoes addition reactions with a wide variety of organic and inorganic compounds.
  • Imparts hydrophobicity, low shrinkage and chemical resistance.
  • Offers flexibility, weatherability, and impact resistance to polymers.
  • It is a low-viscosity monomer with the characteristic high reactivity of acrylates and a long hydrophobic chain.
