Acronal® EDGE 6283

Acronal® EDGE 6283 by BASF is a very fine-sized, self-crosslinking aqueous dispersion of an acrylic copolymer. It is produced via the surfactant-reduced Rheology-Controlled (RC)-technology.

• Its particles have a multiphase-morphology and contain a double wet adhesion functionality.
• It exhibits superior blocking resistance, excellent early water- & blushing resistance, and hail damage resistance on (soft) wood.
• It provides superior exterior durability, very good transparency (in can clarity) and very good film elasticity, even at low temperatures.
• It imparts low mud-cracking tendency of matted clear & opaque wood coatings.
• It offers good water vapor permeability (breathability), excellent water barrier properties and low water absorption of film.
• Acronal® EDGE 6283 is suitable for trim paints, decorative & industrial exterior wood coatings, and exterior joinery products such as windows & doors.
• It is universally applicable for transparent, semi-transparent and opaque coatings on wood.
