Antaron™ (Ganex™) P-904LC by Ashland is a low weight alpha-C4 olefin(10%) and vinylpyrrolidone(90%). Acts as a dispersing agent, emulsifier and film-forming agent. It is water soluble. The combination of vinylpyrrolidone and alkyl functionalities produces a balance of dispersing and waterproofing capacity. Antaron™ (Ganex™) P-904LC is sold in Europe and Canada. It is used as a pigment dispersant in solvent-based coatings and inks, a water-resistant film former in wood coatings. Used as emulsifiers and dispersants in nonaqueous systems.
