ALBODUR® 1055 VP by Alberdingk Boley is a hydroxyl functional polyol based on UV-resistant castor oil. Offers a unique performance profile when formulating light-stable VOC-free two pack polyurethane coatings. Exhibits low viscosity, low isocyanate content, excellent UV stability (> 1.0 hour UVB) and a broad compatibility spectrum. Provides high workability and high mechanical properties. It can be combined with polyether, polycarbonate and Capa polyesters to increase elongation or resilience. Additional chain extenders like butandiol or hexandiol can be used to increase reactivity. ALBODUR® 1055 VP is used in decorative floorings, general industrial floorings and metal coatings.
