Afcona -6220

Afcona -6220 by Afcona Additives is a fatty acid modified polyester that acts as an emulsifier for universal colorants and improved color acceptance. Also acts as an economic dispersant for the preparation of universal pigment concentrates for water and solvent- based decorative coatings. Afcona -6220 is able to stabilize inorganic and organic pigments in water and solvents. In addition, it makes the polar ingredients of universal colorants used in non-polar solvent-based paints more compatible. Addition and dosage: Calculation method for the required amount of active ingredient on pigment: Universal colorants: 5-10% for inorganic pigments, 10-20% for organic pigments, Base-paints 0.5-1.5% on total based paints, Bentonites 15-25% on active/thickeners substance.
