Afcona -5280 by Afcona Additives is a cationic/anionic co-polymer with pigment affinity groups that acts as a wetting and dispersing additive for solventbased paints. Is economical and still gives very good performance in pigment stabilizing. Offers very good performance in alkyd based systems like NC, stoving paint and air-drying alkyd. Has very good alcohol solubility. Afcona -5280 acts as a good co-grinding agent for all solvent-based system. Combined with the universal resin AFCONA – 1102 recommended for the preparation of universal pigment concentrates. Addition and dosage: 0.5 - 1.5% based on TiO2 or extenders, 3.0 - 5.0% based on other inorganic pigments, 10 – 30% based on organic pigment.
