Surfactants-like for Coatings and Inks

LOPON® PO by ICL is sodium polycarboxylate-based dispersing agent for emulsion paints, varnishes and pigment pastes. It offers improved scrubbing resistance and high gloss. It is highly compatible with polyphosphates such as POLYRON® N.

• LOPON® PO is especially suitable for tinting systems and enables good storage stability of paints.
• It provides wetting properties and is solvent-free grade.
• The dosage level of the grade is 0.5-1.0%.
• It has a shelf life of 2 years.

NUOSPERSE® FN 211 by Elementis acts as a wetting agent and dispersing agent. It is APEO-free, non-ionic, low-VOC and has low odor. It improves the storage stability of the paint, including freeze/thaw. It is composed of a non-ionic surfactant with polyether segments and a hydrophobic backbone.

• It optimizes color development, reduces flocculation and allows highest pigment loading.
• NUOSPERSE® FN 211 is used in waterborne coating formulations and emulsion paints.
• The recommended dosage is 0.2-1.0% on the total weight for emulsion paints and 15% on the total weight for pigment dispersions.
• It has a shelf life of 3 years.

NUOSPERSE® FX 605 by Elementis is sodium salt of a polymeric carboxylic acid-based low-foaming pigment dispersing agent for aqueous systems. It counter-acts pigment flocculation in weak acid, neutral and strongly alkaline mediums. It provides long-term stability of the paint, best opacity, and low odor.

• It shows stability to hydrolysis and thus retains its activity even after extended storage of the coating system.
• It is suitable to various pigment types and fillers in aqueous mediums, such as titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, talc, kaolin and modified clays.
• It possesses a deflocculating power and a stabilizing influence on the particles already milled and de-agglomerated.
• It reduces the viscosity of the pigment paste and required demand of defoamer.
• It is used for aqueous coatings, inks, no VOC paints and dispersion paint systems, e.g., systems based on acrylic-, polyvinyl acetate- and polymer dispersion types.
• NUOSPERSE® FX 605 has a shelf life of 2 years.

Dispersogen® PTS by Clariant is a preservative- and APEO-free, non-ionic surfactant-based dispersing and wetting agent. It allows the production of stable, free flowing pigment preparations with low VOC content and low odor. It can improve the color acceptance and compatibility with organic pigments and the stability of paint formulation.

• It is used for aqueous organic pigment dispersions, carbon blacks, preparations, paints and coatings.
• Recommended for use in point-of-sales colorants and concentrates for in-plant tinting.
• The general dosage recommendation is 5-40% on organic pigments.
• Dispersogen® PTS has a shelf life of 730 days.

LOPON® DA 200 by ICL is a VOC-free, low molecular weight sodium polyacrylate-based dispersing agent for varnishes. It has high alkaline stability and offers good storage stability of the paints. It achieves excellent deflocculation results when used in highly filled systems containing inorganic pigments e.g. titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, and mica.

• It is ideally adjusted to polyphosphates like POLYRON® N for obtaining scrubbing resistant emulsion paints.
• Recommended dosage level of LOPON® DA 200 is 0.2-0.5%.
• It has a shelf life of 2 years.

Emulsogen® EPA 073 by Clariant is an anionic emulsifier, surfactant, wetting- and dispersing agent. It offers production of polymer dispersions with controlled particle size and very low grit levels at high solid contents. It is a low-VOC, APEO-free and readily biodegradable additive.

• It produces stable, low foaming emulsions of organic solvents, hydrocarbons, oils and waxes in water.
• It is used for emulsion polymerization of monomers like styrene, acrylic acid esters, methacrylic acid esters and vinyl acetate.
• It is suitable for inorganic & organic pigments in preparations at high pigment loads, low viscosity, high temperature stability & shelf life.
• It has the recommended dosage of 0.5-5.0% based on monomers, 15-80% based on the pigments and 1-20g/l in the emulsion.
• It has the shelf life of 730 days.
• Emulsogen® EPA 073 is FDA approved and complies with REACH, AICS, DSL, ENCS, IECSCS, KECI, NECI, NZIoC, PICCS and TSCA.

LOPON® 890 by ICL is a universal dispersing agent for emulsion paints and plasters. It is suitable for interior and exterior water-based paints and water-based varnishes. It is stable with glycol and is also available in high solid content.

• It provides high gloss, easy dosage and good storage stability of the paints.
• The recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.5%.
• LOPON® 890 has a shelf life of 2 years.

LOPON® 892 by ICL is a dispersing agent for powder paints. It provides excellent dispersion of pigments and fillers in emulsion paints and resin-based plasters. It can also be combined with other dispersing additives like CALGON® N. The recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.5%. LOPON® 892 has a shelf life of 3 years.

Dispersogen® LFH by Clariant is an APEO-free, low-VOC, anionic, surfactant-based dispersing agent. It is preservative free and displays low foaming, high pigment concentration, low viscosity of the preparation and high stability of the preparation in a wide temperature range.

• It is designed for water-based pigment preparations and suitable for carbon blacks.
• It is recommended for use in point-of-sales colorants and concentrates for in-plant tinting, in combination with a non-ionic dispersing agent.
• It has the recommended dosage of 4-20% on organic pigments and 1-6% on inorganic pigments.
• It is Ecolabel, REACH, AICS, DSL, ENCS, IECSCS, KECI, NECI, NZIoC, PICCS and TSCA compliant.
• Dispersogen® LFH has a shelf life of 2 years.

LOPON® DA 400 by ICL is a VOC-free dispersing agent for varnishes and plasters. It is ideally adjusted to polyphosphates like POLYRON® N for obtaining scrubbing resistant emulsion paints.

• It offers good levelling and enables good storage stability of the paints.
• Recommended dosage level of LOPON® DA 400 is 0.2-0.5%.
• It has a shelf life of 2 years.
