Stabilizer Blends for Coatings and Inks

SpeedBlock UV-92 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a blend of bis(1,2,2,6,6-pentamethyl-4-piperidyl) sebacate and methyl(1,2,2,6,6-penta-4-piperidyl) sebacate. Acts as a sterically hindered amines (HALS) UV absorber. Exhibits excellent light stability and provides UV protection. It is highly compatible with many formulations and also works synergistically in combination with other UV absorbers. SpeedBlock UV-92 is suitable for exterior surface industrial and automotive (non-acid catalysed) coatings, metal coatings and wood coatings. Recommended concentrations for clear and solid coats (one coat) is 0.5-2% (as a % of binder solids).

CHEMK UV-5050 by Jiangsu Chemk is a liquid light stabilizer blend. It offers high thermal stability and permanence, making it suitable for coatings exposed to high bake temperatures and extreme environmental conditions. It is designed to meet high durability and cost/performance demands in trade sales and industrial coating applications. Its broad UV absorbance enables effective protection of light-sensitive substrates such as wood and plastics.

• Versatile for both clear and pigmented coatings based on waterborne or solvent-borne paint technologies.
• Recommended for house and trim paints, industrial stoving finishes (alkyd, PES/melamine, or PES/NCO systems), wood coatings, especially waterborne acrylic dispersion systems, one-component or two-component polyurethane coatings.
• The dispersion in waterborne coatings can be improved by using water-miscible co-solvents such as butyldiglycol or Texanol.

SONGSORB® CS B5459 by Songwon is a liquid, viscous light stabilizer blend of a formamidine UV absorber (UVA) with a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS). It is suitable for solvent-borne and solvent-free coatings. It is used in industrial applications. It is used for general and white/bright pigmented epoxy systems. SONGSORB® CS B5459 offers highly convenient processing and also boosts the performance of the current systems.

Tinuvin® 5251 by BASF is a blend of HPT UV absorber and a basic HALS. It is suitable for exterior applications. It is recommended for use in solvent-based industrial coatings including UV curable paints.

Tinuvin® 5248 by BASF is a high performance UVA/HALS blend. Acts as a light stabilizer. It is used in transportation, cementitious substrates, general industrial, furniture and flooring coatings.

Tinuvin® 5350 by BASF is a solvent free, blend of 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-benzotriazole UVA and a basic HALS. It fulfill the high cost/performance and durability requirements of automotive coatings. It offers protection of coatings against cracking, loss of gloss and color change. It is recommended for non-acid catalyzed systems. Tinuvin® 5350 is designed for automotive coatings, coil and wood coatings.

Eversorb® SB1 by Everlight Chemical is a liquid based high performance UV light stabilizer blend for wood pretreatment. It provides better lightfastness property. It is highly effective for durability improvement of light-colored wood substrates coated with clear coatings. Eversorb® SB1 is also used for water-borne systems.

Eversorb® 85 by Everlight Chemical acts as a light stabilizer and UV absorber. It exhibits excellent thermal stability, easy to handle and rapid UV curing speed. It is suitable for coatings exposed to high bake temperatures and extreme environmental conditions. It is particularly recommended for industrial, automotive, wood and plastic coatings. Eversorb® 85 is applicable in most of UV curable resins.

Eversorb® AQ2 by Everlight Chemical is a liquid type UV light stabilizer blend for wide varieties of clear and pigmented waterborne coatings even under high baking temperature and extreme conditions. Eversorb® AQ2 is particularly recommended for industrial coating, automotive, wood, plastics coatings and building coatings.

Eversorb® AQ1 by Everlight Chemical is a high performance UV light stabilizer blend for wide varieties of clear and pigmented waterborne coatings even under high baking temperature and extreme conditions.
