Silicon-based Monomers

Based on 61 products - Last update on the Jun 26, 2025

Silicone-based monomers are clear liquids or solids. Their key features include low surface energy, which enhances the ability of coatings to resist dirt and moisture, as well as improved adhesion to substrates, including metals, glass, and plastics. They are particularly valuable in automotive, industrial, and exterior architectural applications.

Available in both solvent-based and water-based formulations, these monomers meet evolving regulatory requirements for VOC emissions and environmental standards, offering high-performance coatings that are both durable and eco-friendly.

3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane

by Nanjing Chemical Material

3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane by Nanjing Chemical Material is a silicone-based monomer. It is suitable for coating applications.

DMS V33

by Gelest (Mitsubishi Chemical)

DMS V33 by Gelest (Mitsubishi Chemical) is a vinyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane. Can be employed in addition cure systems like platinum catalyzed hydrosilylation reaction and peroxide activated cure systems which involve peroxide induced free radical coupling between vinyl and methyl groups. Curing provides strength, hardness, consistency and optical properties. Applications include ceramic-, dielectric- and optical-coatings. DMS V33 complies with TSCA.

Dynasylan® SILBOND® 40-HF

by Evonik

Dynasylan® SILBOND® 40-HF by Evonik is a low viscosity ethyl polysilicate with 40% silica content. It is a partially hydrolyzed mixture of monomers, dimers, trimers, and higher polymers. Average -Si-O-Si- chain length is approximately five. Used in the manufacture of less concentrated, more highly hydrolyzed binders which are recommended for inorganic zinc-rich primers and coatings applications. Dynasylan® SILBOND® 40-HF has a shelf life of 12 months.
