Lubricants for Coatings and Inks

POWEROIL® SHUTTERING FLUID 40 distributed by DKSH is a non-toxic, excellent de-shuttering oil and lubricant. It is a careful blend of high-performance base oil with an excellent de-molding additive package.

• It offers enhanced wooden plank life and metal shutter life.
• It is highly suitable for MIVAN (aluminum shuttering) technology.
• It provides minimal blow holes and a smooth surface finish.
• POWEROIL® SHUTTERING FLUID 40 is recommended for coatings and construction industry.
• It is used in the production of concrete sleepers.

Tallicin® 2570 by Pflaumer Brothers is a silicone-free lubricant. It is a completely water-soluble phosphate ester-based extreme pressure anti-wear additive that can be incorporated into synthetic and semi-synthetic formulations with neutralization. It provides improved flow and leveling in high solids coatings.

• It offers excellent compatibility and improved gloss & overall appearance.
• It eliminates craters, bubbles & pinholes and imparts good brushability and open time.
• Recommended dosage level is 2-10%.

Licocene® PP 6102 fine grain distributed by DKSH is a low viscous, crystalline metallocene polypropylene wax. It is available in APAC region (South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand).

Calyshield™ L110 by Calyxia is an advanced microencapsulated ester lubricant. It provides an outstanding and decoupling abrasion-, long-lasting abrasion-, scratch-, rub- and wear-resistance. It enhances surface lubricity without blooming. It is ideal for applications requiring durable performance with excellent control on product look and feel.

• It is free from silicone, PTFE and formaldehyde.
• It enhances clarity or color of the cured film and reduces lubricant leaching and improves stain resistance.
• It provides surface lubricity with a long-lasting reduced coefficient of friction (CoF).
• It is designed for superior coating and elastomer adhesion and shows good compatibility with many resin systems, including solvent-based, waterborne, hybrid coatings and powder matrices.
• It is suitable for inks, fabrics, textiles and coatings applications.
• Calyshield™ L110 is used in automotive, transportation, electronics & electrical goods, sporting goods, and performance fabrics.
• It exists in two forms white powder and slurry.
• The recommended usage level is 0.5-2% in powder form and 1-5% in slurry form can be integrated into the formulation.
• Calyshield™ L110 has a shelf life of 36 months.

Glycolube® VL by Arxada acts as an anti-blocking and slip agent. It provides excellent clarity and printability in finished products. It is suitable for use in printing ink vehicles and permits overprinting without loss of adhesion.

• It complies with FDA 21 CFR 175.300, 175.320, 176.170, 176.180, 177.1200, and 178.3860 regulations.
• It is listed on EPA TSCA 8 (b).
• The recommended dosage level is 0.25–2.0 phr for typical blown films and calendared sheets.
• Glycolube® VL has a shelf life of 3 years.

Licowax® OP powder distributed by DKSH is a partly saponified ester wax of montanic acids. It is available in APAC region (South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand).

Shell Catenex Oil S 579 by Shell Lubricants is a paraffinic process oil. It is a general-purpose process oil manufactured through a solvent extraction process and used as an extender and carrier fluid. Shell Catenex Oil S 579 is listed under TSCA and REACH.

VENLO 55PW by Syntheo is a high purity talc, thickening agent and lubricant. It is a clay mineral composed of hydrated magnesium silicate. It is used in cable and roofing material. It is high-purity white powder with consistent particle size.

• It is used in paints, coatings, automotive, construction, building, electronics, electrical, packaging and technical films.
• VENLO 55PW has a shelf life of 6 months.

VENLOWAX OPE by Syntheo is a versatile, high-performance oxidized polyethylene wax. It acts as an internal and external lubricant. It is suitable for overprint varnishes and other water-based coating systems.

• It enhances sewability and improves machine lifetime in textile applications.
• It is used in automotive, construction, building, electronics, electrical, packaging and technical films.
• VENLOWAX OPE has a shelf life of 6 months.

Shell Risella C 425 by Shell Lubricants is a high-quality, re-engineered, highly refined hydrotreated paraffinic process oil. It is highly saturated and free of aromatics. It is produced through an innovative, sustainable process that utilizes used lubricants, helping to reduce CO₂ emissions.

• It has exceptional thermal and UV stability, enabling it to maintain high performance over time.
• It is recommended for use as a low-carbon-footprint process oil in metalworking fluids, polymer and chemical applications, including paints and coatings.
• Shell Risella C 425 is listed under TSCA and REACH.
