Hydrocarbon Resins for Coatings and Inks

EBECRYL® 303 by allnex is a clear liquid polymeric resin in 1,6 hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA). It has been developed to improve the adhesion and good exterior durability of inks and varnishes onto plastics. EBECRYL® 303 is recommended for applications like screen printing, flexographic inks, letterpress and plastics (PC, polyester, polyolefins, PS and PVC). The shelf life of the grade is 2 years.

A1101 by Fushun Huaxing Petrochemical is a low molecular weight light-colored aliphatic C5 petroleum resin. It is used for hot melt road marking coatings, high-grade tire standard paint. It increases the adhesion and hardness of the coating. It forms a smooth paint surface.

HX-1690 by Fushun Huaxing Petrochemical is a C5 petroleum resin used in aliphatic for rubber compounding, without aromatic hydrocarbons. It shows good compatibility with various synthetic rubber, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene polymer, EVA, etc. It has good compatibility with natural tackifing resins. It is recommended for tackifier, reinforcing agent and filler in rubber mixing to improve the tensile strength, elongation and tear resistance of rubber compounds. It is an ideal additive for the manufacture of high-grade shoe soles, rubber products, inner tube tubes, belts and light-colored rubber products.

HX-1689 by Fushun Huaxing Petrochemical is a C5 petroleum resin used in aliphatic for rubber compounding, without aromatic hydrocarbons. It shows good compatibility with various synthetic rubber, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene polymer, EVA, etc. It has good compatibility with natural tackifing resins. It is recommended for tackifier, reinforcing agent and filler in rubber mixing to improve the tensile strength, elongation and tear resistance of rubber compounds. It is an ideal additive for the manufacture of high-grade shoe soles, rubber products, inner tube tubes, belts and light-colored rubber products.

TEGO® VariPlus CA distributed by DKSH is a hydrocarbon resin. It shows excellent viscosity reduction and helps accelerate the drying speed. It provides very good adhesion on metal combined with high gloss and good weather resistance.

High softening point, low molecular weight thermoplastic resin produced by copolymerization of pure aromatic monomers. Endex™ 160 by Synthomer used as a modifier resin in high performance coating compositions. Offers very good color and color stability, no odor, very good resistance to thermal and oxidative degradation, good UV stability, narrow molecular weight distribution, and high glass transition temperature (>100°C). Endex™ 160 by Synthomer gives compatibility with polystyrene, rosin and modified rosins, rosin esters, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), and styrene based block copolymers.

Endex™ 155 by Synthomer high softening point, low molecular weight resin produced by copolymerization of pure aromatic monomers. Used as a modifier resin in high performance coating compositions. Offers very good color and color stability, no odor, very good resistance to thermal and oxidative degradation, good UV stability, narrow molecular weight distribution, and high glass transition temperature (98°C). Endex™ 155 by Synthomer gives compatibility with polystyrene, rosin and modified rosins, rosin esters, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), and styrene based block copolymers.

Petroleum Resin/ Hydrocarbon Resin C5 resin by Keeneyes Industrial is a low polymer, plasticizing resin which has a molecular weight between 300-3000 and also offers tackifying effect. Petroleum Resin/ Hydrocarbon Resin C5 resin is used as a raw material for inks and road marking paints.

Petcoal® 140 by Tosoh is an aromatic hydrocarbon resin. Used in paints and printing inks (offset, gravure). Offers good solvency, thermal stability and weathering properties. Petcoal® 140 shows good compatibility with a wide range of synthetic resins and rubbers.

Super NEVTAC® 99 by Neville Chemical is a thermoplastic low molecular weight, aromatic modified C5 hydrocarbon resin produced by catalytic polymerization of petroleum derived feedstocks. The aromatic modification enhances compatibility with many polymers such as EVA copolymers (<33% VA Content). Super NEVTAC® 99 is recommended for thermoplastic road marking paints (TRMP). It is a hydrophobic, light color and low odor and VOC grade. Offers good thermal and UV stability, resistance to acids and alkalis.
