Gloss Control Agents for Coatings and Inks

Luwax® AM 3 pulver by BASF can be used in solvent-based, aqueous and powder coatings. Improves the mechanical properties of coatings, such as their scratch resistance, abrasion resistance and gloss. Luwax® AM 3 pulver enhances the rheological properties of coatings, such as their thixotropy and the rate at which the solids settle.

Luwax® OA pastillen by BASF is employed as an additive in solvent-based, aqueous and powder coatings. Enhances the mechanical properties of coatings, such as their scratch resistance, abrasion resistance and gloss. Luwax® OA pastillen improves the rheological properties of coatings, such as their thixotropy and the rate at which the solids settle. Manufactured by a high-pressure process which enables them to fulfil high standards of purity.

Hubercarb® Q6-40 by Huber Engineered Materials is a granular calcium carbonate-based filler with controlled particle distribution. It acts as an extender, gloss control agent, anti-slip additive, rheology modifier and densifier.

Hubercarb® G8 by Huber Engineered Materials is a fine ground calcium carbonate-based filler with high purity. It acts as an extender, gloss control agent, anti-slip additive, rheology modifier and densifier.

• Exhibits carefully controlled particle distribution and offers high brightness or pure tints.
• Hubercarb® G8 is recommended for paints and coating applications.

Hubercarb® M70 by Huber Engineered Materials is a medium fine ground calcium carbonate-based filler. It acts as an extender, gloss control agent, anti-slip additive, rheology modifier and densifier.

• Produced from a uniform, high calcium limestone deposit in marble falls, Texas.
• It is suitable for oilfield drilling fluids where its low acid insoluble content is useful.
Hubercarb® M70 is recommended for traffic paints and coating applications.

Nicron® 665 by Magris Performance Materials is an off-white, platy, high purity, very fine talc. It also acts as a highly effective gloss control agent. It is an off-white, high purity, platy, ultrafine talc. Nicron® 665 is suitable for paints and coatings.

Hubercarb® Q3T by Huber Engineered Materials is a fine ground calcium carbonate-based filler. It acts as an extender, gloss control agent, anti-slip additive, rheology modifier and densifier.
