Acrylics & Acrylic Copolymers for Coatings and Inks

DEGALAN® LP 64/12 distributed by DKSH is a versatile binder methacrylates. It exhibits weather- and chemical resistance and lightfastness.

• It is used in UV-printing inks, aerosol, marine & container coatings, primers, impregnations, exterior house-, masonry- and road marking paints.
It is blendable with alcohol and possesses good adhesion to various substrates such as plastics, paper, textiles and metal.
• It is also designed for penetrating primers, concrete- and protective coatings.
• It is compatible with most PVC copolymers, PS, PC, PMMA, ABS, ester-soluble nitrocellulose, chlorinated rubber, plasticizer, cellulose acetobutyrates/ acetopropionate and partly compatible with alkyd and epoxy ester resins.
• It has a shelf life of 5 years.

DEGALAN® 64/12 N distributed by DKSH is a granulated polymer based on methacrylates. It is versatile binder for concrete- and thick-layer metal coatings. It exhibits weather- and chemical resistance and lightfastness.

• It is used in marine & container coatings, primers, impregnations, exterior house- and road marking paints and plastic coatings.
• It is compatible with most PVC copolymers, nitrocellulose, chlorinated rubber, plasticizer, cellulose acetobutyrates/acetopropionate and partly compatible with alkyd and epoxy ester resins.
• DEGALAN® 64/12 N has a shelf life of 5 years and is available in Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.

VISCOPOL™ 6191 by allnex is a low-foaming, fast-drying and anionic styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion. It exhibits excellent water and grease-resistance, excellent gloss and adhesion properties and has excellent mechanical shear stability. It also shows excellent pigment wetting and good block resistance coupled with wide solvent tolerance. VISCOPOL™ 6191 is particularly recommended for use in water-based flexographic & gravure printing inks, overprint lacquers and paper & board-coating applications. It is also highly recommended for use in the formulation of anti-corrosive metal primers. It has a shelf life of 12 months.

Lacper® 4507 by Wanhua Chemical is a self-crosslinking acrylic copolymer emulsion. It shows high transparancy, excellent in-can and dry-film clarity because of its small particle size.

• It exhibits good film hardness, fast drying speed, good sandability and excellent chemical resistance.
• It has good adhesion to a variety of substrates such as wood, plastics such as ABS, PC and PVC.
• Lacper® 4507 contains no APEO, formaldehyde and its derivative.
• This waterborne resin is recommended for interior, exterior, primer sealer, midcoat, basecoat, clearcoat, topcoat, wood and plastic applications.

DEGALAN® P 28 N distributed by DKSH is a granulated polymer based on methacrylates. It is a binder for the manufacture of plastic-, masonry and metal coatings and UV printing inks.

• It is particularly suitable as a drying accelerator in alkyd varnishes.
• It is compatible with polyolefin substrates including PP and PE, short- and medium-oil & many long-oil alkyd resins, with most plasticizers, vinyl resins and nitrocellulose.
• It provides sufficient adhesion to the substrates by applying primer and corona pre-treatment.
• It possesses universal solubility, excellent chemical resistance and light-fastness.
• DEGALAN® P 28 N shows good compatibility with other printing ink raw materials and pigments.
• The shelf life of the product is 5 years.
• It is available in Belgium, Canada, Indonesia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Philippines and Vietnam.

Archsol® 8316 by Wanhua Chemical is an anionic styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion for waterproof paints.

• It exhibits excellent mechanical property, alkali resistance and cement compatibility.
• It has low odor and no ammonia neutralizer and is APEO- & formaldehyde-free grade.
• Archsol® 8316 contains <1% sodium hydroxide as neutralizer & 0.014% CMIT:MIT=3:1 and 0.200% MIT as biocide.

KANEKA GEMLAC™ W3171F by Kaneka is an acryl silicone emulsion designed for 2K topcoat. It provides weather resistance, superior self-cleaning effect in combination with hardener QD317. It is anionic/nonionic stabilized and offers extended durability, surface hardness and exceptional luster. The coating film can be applied to highly elastic substrates. KANEKA GEMLAC™ W3171F is recommended in broad range of applications, including automobiles and exterior building supplies.

Crilat 4825 by Vinavil is a pure acrylic copolymer water-based dispersion. It is APEO-, formaldehyde- and ammonia-free grade. It is non-yellowing, UV crosslinkable and offers excellent elasticity and very good flexibility at low temperatures. It delivers superior waterproofing with very low water absorption.

• It provides excellent crack-bridging protection and good dirt pick-up resistance.
• Crilat 4825 ensures high UV and weathering resistance (benzophenone-free).
• It enables easy formulation and high performance at optimized cost.
• It is compatible with common pigment and extender packages.
• It is suitable for EIFS, high-rise facades, elastomeric wall and exterior masonry coatings.

Lacper® 4401 by Wanhua Chemical is an APEO- & formaldehyde-free, acrylic emulsion especially designed for waterborne wood coatings.

• Exhibits good clarity both of wet & dry film, fast film hardness development, good final film hardness, good film formation and chemical resistance.

SETALUX® 61767 VX-60 by allnex is a hydroxylated acrylic resin, modified with sag control agent (strong-SCA). It shows good appearance, adhesion, durability, chemical & petrol resistance, and excellent application properties. SETALUX® 61767 VX-60 is suitable for 2k automotive clearcoats.
