LB Group to introduce high-performance TiO₂ pigments at ECS 2025

LB Group's wide range of high-performance BILLIONS™ TiO2 pigments for coatings, inks, plastics, and paper laminates is established worldwide. It includes BILLIONS™ R-996 pigment, a durable sulfate process TiO2 pigment designed for external and internal architectural coatings and suitable for industrial and powder coatings.
BILLIONS™ BLR-895 pigment, a chloride-process TiO2 pigment that delivers brilliant whiteness with a blue undertone in external and internal architectural coatings and world class BILLIONS™ TR52 pigment, a specialist sulfate-process TiO2 pigment designed specifically for printing inks.
Free of TMP and TME
'Continuous product development and customer trials facilitate the design and production of our TiO2 pigments,' said Julie Reid, strategic marketing director at LB Group.
'At ECS 2025, as well as our excellent portfolio of high-performance TiO2 pigments for coatings and inks, we'll be introducing our latest TMP-free and TME-free TiO2 pigment product developments, including LR-971 pigment for matt water-based coatings and printing inks with high pigment volume concentrations, and BLR-6980 and BLR-8950 pigments for architectural and industrial coatings.'
Applicable in industrial coatings
Since the last ECS, LB Group has also made improvements to its BILLIONS™ 896 titanium dioxide pigment to produce BILLIONS™ BLR-896+ pigment, a super-durable TiO2 pigment designed for high quality industrial coatings.
'BILLIONS™ BLR-896+ offers improved weatherability, opacity, tint strength, and gloss compared with BILLIONS™ BLR-896 pigment,' explained Reid. 'It delivers enhanced bright, blue-toned color for better visual appearance and formulation efficiency. BLR-896+ is a highly competitive TiO2 pigment option for manufacturers of high-quality industrial paints.'
Suitable for reverse laminate printing inks
LB Group will also be promoting BILLIONS™ TR53 TiO2 pigment, one of its most recent TiO2 pigments for inks.
'BILLIONS™ TR53 has been specifically designed for reverse laminate printing inks. It's optimized to deliver excellent dispersion and high opacity in relevant resin systems,' added Reid.
