ICL to Launch Smart Release Corrosion Inhibitor at CHINACOAT 2024

ICL will be launching HALOX® 680 - its newest organic corrosion inhibitor based on the smart and effective release of an organic corrosion inhibitor from an organic matrix at CHINACOAT 2024, to be held from 03-05 December. Enhancing coating adhesion
HALOX® 680 is a smart release corrosion inhibitor. It releases a heterocyclic organic corrosion inhibitor which combats the corrosion process by mitigating the onset of cathodic delamination. This enhances coating adhesion and works synergistically with other anticorrosive pigments such as zinc phosphate.
As a stand-alone corrosion inhibitor or if using HALOX® 680 as an adhesion promoter, the recommended loading levels range from 1-2% based on total formula weight (TFW). When used in synergy with standard zinc phosphate the loading level of the HALOX® 680 is typically 0.5-4% on TFW depending on the performance or cost targets.
