Cabot to display carbon black technologies at ACS 2026

Cabot Corporation will highlight its latest advancements in carbon black technology at the American Coatings Show 2026 (Booth #2575), held from May 5-7 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

Among the featured products is EMPEROR® 2000, a high-color specialty carbon black engineered for automotive base coats and deep black masstone applications. By utilizing an innovative combination of pigment morphology and surface chemistry, EMPEROR® 2000 delivers unmatched jetness across both waterborne and polar formulations.


Additionally, Cabot will showcase VULCAN® XCmax™ 22, an extra-conductive specialty carbon developed for static dissipative coatings and plastic primers. This solution is designed to provide exceptional conductivity and processability for demanding technical applications.


A key highlight of Cabot’s participation is a technical presentation by Dmitry Fomitchev, senior R&D manager. On May 6 at 3:00 p.m. EDT, he will present 'VULCAN® XCmax™ 22 Specialty Carbon Black for Application in Light-Colored Solventborne Conductive Automotive Primers' as part of the ACS Technical Conference.
