BRB Launches Amino Curable Silicone for Car Care Applications

BRB Silicones launches BRB SF 1802 special silicone for car care. BRB SF 1802 is an aminoalkyl functional polydimethylsiloxane. It is a non-reactive, amino curable silicone that exhibits superior storage stability compared to its reactive counterparts.

Offers Hydrophobicity, High Gloss & Good Durability

BRB SF 1802 is designed for use in automotive care applications. It can also be used in home care formulations.

In car care applications, BRB SF 1802 is used in paint protection formulations to offer hydrophobicity, high gloss, and good durability. BRB SF 1802 exhibits low surface tension and low viscosity. So, it is very easy to apply and clean effortlessly, without streaking.

Compared to other standard silicone oils, BRB SF 1802 exhibits excellent affinity to various substrates. This characteristic is the main reason for the increased durability of amino silicone-based coatings. As BRB SF 1802 leaves the treated surface very smooth, it is difficult for dirt to adhere to it and a simple rinse with water is sufficient to remove most contaminants.

Preparation: Mix all ingredients homogeneously at low shear. Adjust pH to 5-6.

Application: 

 

  • Spray a little product onto a microfiber towel
  • Spread a thin layer on a clean, dry panel
  • Let it cure for 5-10 minutes and then wipe it with another microfiber towel
  • Avoid contact with the treated surface with water for another 12-24 hours
