Initiative to reinforce broad sustainability strategy
The PCF data is accessible for all products without firewalls or login restrictions. By making this information open and continuously updated, allnex supports customers, suppliers, and partners in driving measurable progress toward decarbonization goals.
“Transparency is the foundation for real climate action. By publishing PCF data for our products, we are making it easier for customers to quantify their own footprint and accelerate joint progress across the coatings value chain. This is not a one-time release - it’s a living dataset that will evolve as upstream data and methodologies improve,” said Cedric D'Hulst, marketing director, EMEA.
The PCF figures are calculated according to industry standards and reflect cradle-to-gate emissions (Scope 1, 2, and upstream Scope 3). The data will be continuously refined as allnex receives more accurate inputs from suppliers and value chain partners, ensuring ongoing improvement. Our PCF numbers are calculated in accordance with the Together for Sustainability (TfS) guidelines, which align with ISO 14067 and the GHG Protocol.
“Reliable carbon data is no longer optional - it’s critical in the collaboration with our customers. We have implemented fully automated PCF calculations, enabling us to update our numbers quickly and efficiently. The emission reduction efforts that allnex is putting in place, combined with improved PCF data quality from our suppliers, will lead to more accurate and reliable PCFs going forward. We view this as an open journey - shared with our partners, not guarded behind walls,” said Davy De Clercq, director, Global Sustainability.
This initiative reinforces allnex’s comprehensive sustainability strategy, which includes enhancing efficiency at our manufacturing sites, developing products with lower curing temperatures, utilizing renewable and circular feedstocks, fostering mass balance collaborations, and innovating low-VOC solutions.
