AkzoNobel confirms Nippon Paint and Sherwin-Williams drop public offer

AkzoNobel has taken note of press release from Nippon Paint Holdings Co. (“Nippon Paint”) and The Sherwin-Williams Company (“Sherwin-Williams”), confirming that they are no longer pursuing a public offer for AkzoNobel.
Boards unanimously recommend Axalta merger of equals
Both AkzoNobel Boards unanimously continue to recommend the merger of equals between AkzoNobel and Axalta, taking into account the compelling strategic rationale and benefits as set out in the AkzoNobel and Axalta joint press release of November 18, 2025.
AkzoNobel will provide further updates as appropriate.
