Coating ingredients for Pigment Concentrates

RHEOLATE® FX 1010 by Elementis is a polyether polyurethane-based high-efficiency associative thickener. It also acts as a binding agent. It improves the anti-settling and sag resistance of aqueous paints by increasing the mid and low shear viscosity.

• It provides long-term viscosity stability and is less sensitive to hydrolysis.
• Offers improved weathering and decreased water sensitivity.
• It shows compatibility with standard latexes used in emulsion paints.
• It provides high water resistance and increased scrub resistance.
• It exhibits improved flow and very good gloss performance.
• It possesses very good resistance to bacterial degradation.
• Also improves long-term viscosity stability and reduces roller spattering.
• RHEOLATE® FX 1010 is designed for aqueous systems such as emulsion and dispersion paints based on polyacrylic and polyvinyl acetate homopolymers and terpolymers.
• It is suitable for use in gloss and matte finishes.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.2-2%.
• It has a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture.

NUOSPERSE® FX 600 by Elementis is a highly effective pigment dispersing agent. It is a multi-functional polymer, free of organic solvents. It ensures a strong interaction with a wide range of pigments, owing to its multi-functional structure.

• It adsorbed strongly onto inorganic pigments such as titanium dioxide and iron oxides (yellow, red or black) but also onto organic pigments such as fast red, quindo magenta, phthalo blue and green.
• It exhibits optimized stabilization of pigments in aqueous systems.
• It is suitable for use with a wide variety of binders such as baked acrylic dispersions, air-drying alkyds, polyester-melamines, 2-pack epoxies, acrylates.
• It offers high gloss levels, optimal opacity, consistent quality, improved corrosion resistance.
• It provides improved pigment wetting resulting in shorter grind times and cost savings.
• NUOSPERSE® FX 600 is used for waterborne industrial coatings, protective coatings, gloss dispersion paints, colorants, printing inks, also used in pigment concentrates for tinting paints, leather finishes, textiles, plastics, inks, etc. Recommended dosage level as a pigment dispersant 0.5-2.0% for paint, 0.5-3.0% for printing ink and 1-15% for pigment concentrates.
• It has a shelf life of 3 years.

NUOSPERSE® FX 7600W by Elementis is a waterborne and organic solvent-free wetting and dispersing agent. It is an aqueous solution of surface-active substances and polymers containing multiple anchoring groups. It offers efficient viscosity reduction and outstanding color strength development in carbon black and organic pigments dispersions.

• It is sustainable and shows compatibility with most waterborne formulations.
• It exhibits high efficiency, improved pigment wetting and low foaming.
• It is easy to use and provides viscosity stability and long-term storage capacity.
• It is designed for water-borne inks, industrial coatings and pigment concentrates.
• Recommended usage level is 1-5% for binder resin containing and 5-20% for binder resin-free formulations.
• NUOSPERSE® FX 7600W has a shelf life of 2 years.

ADDITOL® XW 6532 by allnex is an ionic polymer dispersing- and wetting agent for organic- and carbon black pigments. It is a highly efficient, dissolver- and pearl mill qualified additive. It is recommended for the production of waterborne colorants and low to zero VOC paints. It offers improved color acceptance of universal pigment concentrates.

• It exhibits good pigment wetting, high pigment loading, low pigment floatation and reduced energy consumption.
• It provides improved rheology, color- & shear stability, outdoor durability, water immersion and water spotting.
• The recommended dosage level is 15-50% for organic pigments and 30-100% for carbon black.
• ADDITOL® XW 6532 has a shelf life of 365 days.

RHEOLATE® 244 by Elementis is 25% solids dispersion of polyether urea polyurethane-based associative rheology modifier. It is designed for waterborne paints and inks containing small particle-sized latexes and high-volume solids systems. It offers efficient thickening in high-shear range (ICI viscosity) and improves mid-shear rate viscosity without requiring a secondary thickener. It is an enzyme resistant, pH-independent, easily incorporated grade.

• It provides effective flow- and leveling control, good brush drag, enhanced film build, and reduced spattering during roller application.
• It imparts Newtonian- and alkyd-like flow in gloss- and satin-gloss latex paints.
• It offers improved color acceptance and paint stability in tint-base pigmented systems.
• RHEOLATE® 244 is suitable for water-reducible paints, and paints for interior & exterior applications based on pure acrylic or copolymer binders.
• It shows compatibility with other rheological additives and allows broad formulating flexibility.
• The recommended dosage level is 0.4-3.0% by weight of the paint.
• It has a shelf life of 2 years.

ADDITOL® XL 6521 by allnex is a high molecular wetting and dispersing agent with cationic character for carbon black and organic pigments. It is suitable for solvent-borne, solvent-free and high solid systems such as high-quality car refinish, industrial lacquers, printing inks and pigment pastes. It reduces dispersing time, enhances gloss & leveling, prevents reflocculation of pigment particles and reduces viscosity of pigment pastes. It is suitable for radiation curing systems. The recommended dosage level of ADDITOL® XL 6521 is 10-50% on organic pigments and 50-80% on carbon black. The shelf life of this product is 730 days.

NUOSPERSE® FX 7500W by Elementis is a wetting and dispersing agent, with very low VOC and designed for water-borne coatings and inks. It offers efficient viscosity reduction in grinding mill base, and enhances color intensity of organic and inorganic pigments.

• It is designed with multiple solvation segments and multiple pigment adsorption groups.
• It provides good stability for various kind of pigments.
• It deflocculates particles and prevents re-flocculation through steric hindrance.
• It is suitable for general pigment concentrates, architecture coatings, automobile coatings, wood and furniture coatings, printing inks, can coatings, coil coatings, leather finishes and protective coatings.
• Recommended dosage level is 30-100% for carbon black, 20-60% for organic pigment and 5-30% for inorganic pigment.
• NUOSPERSE® FX 7500W has a shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture.

ADDITOL® XL 6522 by allnex is a high molecular wetting and dispersing agent with cationic character for carbon black and organic pigments. It enhances gloss & leveling, prevents reflocculation of pigment particles and reduces viscosity of pigment pastes. It is suitable for solventborne, solvent-free and high solid systems such as high quality car refinish, industrial lacquers, printing inks and pigment pastes. The recommended dosage level of ADDITOL® XL 6522 is 10-50% on organic pigments and 50-80% on carbon black. Its shelf life is 2 years at storage temperature up to 25°C.

NUOSPERSE® FX 610 by Elementis is a VOC-free, multi-functional pigment dispersing agent. It provides enhanced pigment wetting. It is compatible with a wide variety of binders, making it suitable for both decorative and industrial applications.

• It adsorbs onto inorganic pigments like titanium dioxide and iron oxides (yellow, red, or black), as well as organic pigments such as fast red, quinacridone magenta, phthalo blue, and phthalo green.
• Additionally, it is highly effective with carbon black and extenders.
• The strong pigment interaction and unique polymer structure optimize pigment stabilization in aqueous systems.
• It is particularly well-suited for waterborne alkyd formulations and can be used in pigment concentrates for tinting paints, leather finishes, textiles, inks, and other similar coating systems.
• Typical use level is 0.5-2.0% for use as a pigment dispersant in paint and 0.5-3% in printing ink.
• NUOSPERSE® FX 610 has a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture.

Crayvallac® A-2678-M distributed by DKSH is a high performance acrylic dispersing and flow control agent for the control of coating surface properties. It eliminates film surface defects that may occur during the film formation.

• It offers enhanced substrate wetting, reduces craters and fisheyes, minimizes orange peel and pinholes, and improves gloss and DOI, all without detracting from exterior durability.
• It is recoatable, pourable and pre-neutralized.
• It can be added to coating formulations at any step in the manufacturing of paints.
• It is mostly suitable for use in a wide range of water-based coating systems as acrylic emulsions, water reducible alkyds and pigment concentrates.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.5-2.0% additive solids on total vehicle solids for in spray applications, flow/levelling and gloss enhancement.
• Crayvallac® A-2678-M has a shelf life of 2 years.
