Through the use of proprietary grinding techniques, Omya has been able to produce ground calcium carbonate for use in moisture curing adhesive and sealant systems which is both ultrafine and low moisture compared to conventional GCC and UFPCC respectively. The combination of careful mineral selection, grinding expertise and high-quality coating, has pushed the boundary of particle size and moisture adsorption for ground calcium carbonate to new levels.

These tangible benefits enable formulators to combine the benefits of traditional ground calcium carbonate with those of reinforcing fillers, such as improved mechanical properties and a reduced need for rheological modifiers. The excellent moisture control allows for easier storage in high humidity conditions, reduced energy and time expenditure during adhesive or sealant production and a reduced dependency on chemical moisture scavengers, such as VTMO.

Omyabond 120 is only available in Americas and Asia Pacific.
