GENIOSIL® XM 20 by Wacker is an organofunctional, alpha-silane-terminated polymer suitable as a reactive diluent in moisture-curing formulations. Used in the manufacture of plasticizer-free adhesives with extremely high elasticity. On curing, the new polymers are firmly integrated into the resulting three-dimensional polymer network, reducing the crosslink density. GENIOSIL® XM 20 not only adheres to concrete, wood, aluminum and glass, but also to low-energy surfaces such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polystyrene (PS) and cured ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber without prior pre-treatment of these substrates.

It can extend skin-over time and provides sufficient adhesive tooling time.

It include wood-flooring adhesives and all-round adhesive sealants.

GENIOSIL® XM 20 possesses high ultimate strength and adheres well to difficult substrates.

GENIOSIL® XT 55 by Wacker is gamma-silane-terminated polyether. It contains high density cross-linkable silyl groups which cure to a tight-mesh network that is very strong but elastic. It is tear resistant. It has low viscosity and is easy to process at low temperatures. It is highly ductile and will tear only when subjected to strong forces. It represents the first technically equivalent alternative to conventional polyurethane-based systems. GENIOSIL® XT 55 is extremely flexible industrial adhesives of the kind used, for example, in direct glazing of windshields in the automotive industry and for sealing flat surfaces. GENIOSIL® XM 25 by Wacker is a gamma-silane-terminated polyether. It is an organofunctional silane group at one of their chain ends and so it crosslinks only at that end. On curing, the new polymers are firmly integrated into the resulting three-dimensional polymer network, reducing the crosslink density. It not only adheres to concrete, wood, aluminum and glass, but also to low-energy surfaces such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polystyrene (PS) and cured ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber without prior pre-treatment of these substrates.

It can be blended with other silane-terminated polymers in the desired ratio.

Potential applications include sealants for expansion joints in buildings and for connection joints between window frames and walls.

GENIOSIL® XM 25 is used in the formulation of low-modulus sealants with exceptionally high elastic recovery.
GENIOSIL® XT 50 by Wacker is a silicone-modified polyether-based alpha-silane-terminated polymer. It contains high density crosslinkable silyl groups which cure to a tight-mesh network that is very strong but elastic. It represents the first technically equivalent alternative to conventional polyurethane-based systems. It is used as a reactive binder for elastic sealants, in industrial adhesives and for sealing flat surfaces.

Exhibits tear resistance, low viscosity and is easy to process at low temperatures.

It is highly ductile and will tear only when subjected to strong forces.

GENIOSIL® XT 50 can be formulated without fillers to make transparent, tin-free end products that have good mechanical properties.

GENIOSIL® XL 32 by Wacker is a moisture scavenger and crosslinker based on an organofunctional (Methacryloxymethyl)- methyldimethoxysilane. It hydrolyzes in the presence of moisture (methanol is released) to form silanols, which can then react with themselves to produce siloxanes or bind to inorganic substrates. The close proximity of the alkoxysilyl group to the ester function results in greatly accelerated hydrolysis and condensation reactions (alpha-effect). As a bi-functional, organically unsaturated molecule, GENIOSIL® XL 32 is able to function as a molecular bridge between inorganic and organic substrates. It is used in heat and/or radiation-curable adhesives and sealants. GENIOSIL® STP-E340 by Wacker is an alpha, gamma trimethoxysilylpropylcarbamate-terminated polyether. It is suitable as a binder in moisture curing formulations.

It is a direct consequence of the structural proximity between the nitrogen atom and the silicon atom in the trimethoxysilyl-methylcarbamate group, known as the alpha-effect.

It exhibits simple compounding with conventional auxiliaries and is free from both plasticizers and tin.

It provides high elasticity, excellent recovery, minimal creep, and transparent systems.

It also offers strong mechanical properties, fast curing, a wide adhesion range, and a long shelf life.

GENIOSIL® STP-E340 hydrolyzes in the presence of moisture to finally form a stable siloxane network initiated by mild catalysis rather than heavy metal ions.

It differs to conventional silylated polymers due to its high reactivity.

It is used in building and construction adhesives, do-it-yourself projects, flooring installation, home improvement gluing, industrial adhesives, silane-modified polymers, and the production of low-modulus sealants.

GENIOSIL® STP-E140 by Wacker is an alpha, gamma trimethoxysilylpropylcarbamate-terminated polyether. It is suitable as a binder in moisture curing formulations.
