Airflex® EP400 by Wacker is a 55% dispersion of copolymer of vinyl acetate and ethylene. It shows high heat resistance and very high setting speed. Airflex® EP400 is used in low viscosity adhesives for packaging industry. Airflex® 300 by Wacker is polyvinyl alcohol protected vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer emulsion designed as a base for high-speed packaging adhesives. Provides high wet tack and grab and good thickening response to plasticizers. The dried film of this emulsion is flexible and exhibits good tensile strength and high creep resistance. Airflex® 300 is applicable for packaging adhesive applications, carton, case forming and sealing applications, bag seams, cups, tube winding and high-pressure laminates, laminations of leather to cloth and fiberglass to paper, bookbinding, and padding, craft and hobby glues, microwave packaging, and envelope back gums. Airflex® 426 by Wacker is high solids VAE emulsion carboxylated vinyl acetate-ethylene terpolymer emulsion with polyvinyl alcohol stabilization. Provides good adhesion to metals, plastic films and a variety of difficult-to bond substrates. Can be used in heat-seal applications for metals (aluminum)and for plastic adherends. Thickens with alkalies. Dried films can be dissolved with water at a pH of approximately 9.5. Provides high water resistance, good adhesion to glass, clear film, slight dry tack, good flexibility. Adheres to metal surfaces (aluminum, mild and galvanized steel, brass, lead, and tin plate), to metallized films and other films (Mylar, cellulose acetate, cellulose acetate butyrate and proprionate, and PVC). Airflex® 400 by Wacker is developed as a high-performance base for adhesives. (polyvinyl alcohol protected emulsion). The dried adhesive film has toughness and flexibility. Shows good resistance to creep at elevated temperatures. Airflex® 400 provides rapid setting speed, strong wet tack, good machinability.
