About Songwon

Songwon was founded in 1965 and is headquartered in Ulsan, South Korea. It is a leading global producer of polymer stabilizers and specialty chemicals. Songwon supplies antioxidants, UV absorbers, light stabilizers, and phenolic/phosphite blends (e.g., SONGNOX® series). These protect against thermal and oxidative degradation, yellowing, and chain scission in hot-melt, pressure-sensitive, polyurethane, and water-based adhesives. They enhance long-term stability, color retention, and overall performance in packaging, hygiene, construction, and automotive applications.

SONGNOX® 117B

Blend of tris(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite and octadecyl-3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate. Acts as a phosphite and phenolic antioxidant. It provides long term heat stability, excellent melt flow and color protection during processing of polyolefins. It is compatible with polycarbonate, ABS, and polyesters. It complies with following regulations: AICS, DSL, EINECS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC, ECL, PICCS and TSCA.

SONGNOX® 11B

SONGNOX® 11B by Songwon is a blend of tris(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite and tetrakis[methylene(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyhydrocinnamate)] methane. Acts as a phosphite & phenolic antioxidant. It shows good balance of properties between processing stability, color and long-term thermal stability. It has low initial color and shows low gas fading. It provides excellent melt flow and color protection during processing of polyolefins. It is compatible with polycarbonate, ABS, and polyesters. SONGNOX® 11B complies with AICS, DSL, EINECS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC, ECL, PICCS, REACH and TSCA.

SONGSORB® 3260

SONGSORB® 3260 by Songwon is a 2-(2'-Hydroxy-3'-t-butyl-5'-methylphenyl)-5-chloro benzotriazole. Acts as a light stabilizer. It has high degree of photo-stability, low volatility and does not discolor with metals. It is compatible with polypropylene, polyethylene, PVC, ABS, elastomer, acrylic, polyurethane and polystyrene. It can be used in combination with phenolic & phosphite antioxidants and HALS to optimize performance in outdoor use. The recommended dosage is 0.2-1.0% in PP, PE, polybutylene and polyester. SONGSORB® 3260 complies with following regulations: AICS, DSL, EINECS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC, ECL, PICCS and TSCA.
