Culminal™ MHEC 8000 by Ashland is a non-ionic cellulose ether used as a thickener, protective colloid, stabilizer, suspending aid, water-retention agent, binder, adhesion promoter, emulsion stabilizer and film former. It shows compatibility with many surfactants and polymers such as starch, guar and alginates. It provides pseudoplastic behavior and thixotropy. Culminal™ MHEC 8000 is suitable for construction industry (tile adhesives), tobacco industry (adhesives for cigarette paper and cigar seams) and nonwoven fabrics.
