ShiraSol™ is a benzene-free, non-carcinogenic, HAPs (hazardous air pollutants)-free, high purity and biodegradable grade. Acts as a VOC (volatile organic compound)-compliant, safe, low toxicity green solvent. Offers superior solvency, solubility and safety but similar evaporation rate to mineral spirits. Exhibits higher flash point, ultra low MIR and less flammability than aromatic 100, methyl amyl ketone and n-butyl acetate. It is recyclable and does not contain environmentally hazardous ingredients & ozone depleting or creating chemicals. It is easy to use, dries completely, leaves no surface residue and has excellent loading capacity. Shows 10 - 25% more efficiency in viscosity reduction than xylene. Suitable for solvent-based adhesive formulations.
