2-Hydroxy-4-n-octoxybenzophenone. It acts as an effective UV absorber and light stabilizer. It is free flowing light yellow powder that protects from damaging UV radiation which is a component of natural sunlight. It has good compatibility with a number of polymers, including PVC, polypropylene and polyethylene. It is used in acrylic and vinyl adhesives and sealants.
