Epicerol® by Syensqo is bio-based epichlorohydrin (ECH). It acts as a chemical intermediate mainly used in the manufacture of epoxy resins. It is recommended for the production of adhesives and sealants, composites and electronic components. It is also used in the production of epichlorohydrin elastomers, polyamide-epichlorohydrin resins, synthetic glycerol, polyols and a variety of glycidyl derivatives. Epicerol® is produced using Solvay’s proprietary process.
